Dame Ngaio Marsh

Ngaio Marsh (1899-1982), New Zealand writer and dramatist. She wrote 32 detective novels and 10 short stories; all the novels feature the well-read, suave and imperturbable Chief Inspector Roderick Alleyn, of the C.I.D.
